Workplace harassment means engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct against a worker in a workplace that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome.
Harassment in any form, or violent behavior of any kind, or threats of violence, either implied or direct, is prohibited at DeFord Contracting Inc. We have a zero tolerance policy against violence in the workplace.
The management of DeFord Contracting Inc. recognizes the potential for violence and harassment in the workplace. DeFord Contracting Inc. will not tolerate any type of violence or harassment within the workplace or during work-related activities. DeFord Contracting Inc. is committed to allotting whatever time, attention, authority and resources necessary to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and clients to whom we provide services.
DeFord Contracting Inc. will take every reasonable precaution to protect an employee from physical injury if we become aware, or believe that violence is a risk.
Any employee who participates in workplace violence in any form is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination.
